From September 16, SignAll’s ASL video library, SignAll Classroom, will be replaced by SignAll Online. The major difference is that it is now available for anyone who wants to learn ASL. Additionally, SignAll Online will include new features and functionality to be rolled out over the coming weeks.
SignAll Online ASLvideo library can be fully integrated with SignAll Lab,a workstation that uses sign language recognition technology to give studentshands-on signing practice and feedback. Users of SignAll Lab can now view usage statistics directly in the Online dashboard, inclusive on words learned, lessons completed, and time spent watching videos.
Classroom was launched in responseto the nation-wide school closings earlier this year. In line with this, anyASL teacher could receive a personalized link after registration. The linkcould be shared with any number of students. The downside of the approach wasthat ASL learners could not get access to the ASL video library independentlyfrom institutions.
Unlike Classroom, Online will be a paid service. Prices start around $2,5 a month for individual users; institutional pricing is available (please contact SignAll for more details).
“Over the last few months, we have been receivingnumerous requests from independent ASL learners. That motivated us to rethinkthe resource and open it to all categories of ASL learners. While working onadditional features, we can’t wait to see first users’ successes”
